Letter To Our Troops

I may never know you or your age and where you’re from. I may not know if you are married and have children. I will not be at the airport to say good-bye. However my thoughts are with you each day reminding me of how grateful I am for the freedoms I have. I may never salute you and shake your hand, but I will walk with pride knowing I have many heroes’ fighting for my safety. If you or a comrade comes back with a flag over you, I may not be there standing at attention, but my heart aches each day when even one does not return home alive. I may not be there to comfort loved ones at the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with them. For those of you who do return home safe. I will not be at the airport to welcome you home; I will however stand next to you in my thoughts with the same pride. Again I salute you and say thank you for being my hero.
